Overview
The Virtual-Call Cloud PBX includes built-in AI capabilities that help you automate call handling, generate voice prompts, and convert speech to text. These features save time, reduce manual effort, and improve the experience for both callers and your team.
Three AI-powered features are available:
- AI Receptionist—A virtual front-desk assistant that answers calls 24/7, greets callers, responds to questions using your knowledge base, and routes calls to the right person or department. Ideal for handling routine inquiries without human intervention.
- Text-to-Speech (TTS)—Converts written text into natural-sounding audio. Use it to create greetings, IVR prompts, announcements, and other voice prompts without recording them manually.
- AI Transcription—Automatically converts voicemail messages and phone calls into readable text. Voicemail transcription lets users read messages instead of listening to them. Call transcription generates real-time transcripts and post-call summaries with key points.
AI Minutes and Capacity
AI features consume service minutes. Your Cloud PBX plan includes a set of complimentary one-time minutes for the AI Receptionist and for AI Transcription.
When the included minutes are used up, you can purchase additional One-Time Capacity packages from Virtual-Call. These packages add a fixed number of minutes to your account that remain available until consumed—there is no monthly expiration.
You can check your current usage on the dashboard in the PBX admin portal. The Capacity section displays the used and total minutes for both AI Receptionist and Transcription.
Tip: The system sends automatic notifications when your AI minutes are running low (at 80%, 90%, and 95% usage). Contact Virtual-Call to purchase additional capacity before your minutes run out.
