Overview
Under Event Notification, you configure which system events trigger a notification and who gets informed. This helps you keep track of security-relevant activities such as failed login attempts or password changes.
Prerequisites
- Administrator access to the Virtual-Call Cloud PBX
Page Overview
Navigate to System → Event Notification. The page contains three tabs:
- Event Type: Displays all available system events and allows you to enable or disable notifications per event.
- Notification Contacts: Manages the contacts who receive event notifications.
- Event Logs: Displays logs of past system events.
Tab: Event Type
Navigate to System → Event Notification → Event Type.
Events are grouped by category (e.g., Operations). The following columns are displayed for each event:

| Event Level | Severity level of the event (e.g., Information) |
| Notification | Toggle switch to enable or disable the notification for this event |
| Event Detail | Opens the detail view for editing the event settings |
Tab: Notification Contacts
Navigate to System → Event Notification → Notification Contacts.
Here you manage the contacts who are notified when certain events occur. The buttons Add and Delete are available.
Columns in the overview

Adding a Contact
Click Add to create a new notification contact.

| Notification Contact | Select an existing contact or "[Custom]" for a manual entry. Required. |
| Contact Name | Name or email address of the contact (for custom contacts). Required. |
| Notification Methods | Select one or more methods: Send Email, Call Mobile. Required. |
| The Event Levels to Notify | Select the event levels for which this contact should be notified. Required. |
Tab: Event Logs
Navigate to System → Event Notification → Event Logs.
Here you can view logs of past system events. The filter bar contains the following fields: Event Type, Event Level, Status, Event Name, and Time (date range). The buttons "Download" and "Mark All as Read" are also available.

Setting Up Event Notifications
- Navigate to System → Event Notification.
- Switch to the Notification Contacts tab and click Add to create at least one recipient.
- Fill in the fields in the Add Contact dialog and click Save.
- Switch to the Event Type tab.
- Enable the Notification toggle for all events you want to be notified about.
- Check the Event Logs tab to verify that events are being recorded correctly.
Best Practices
- Enable notifications at least for security-relevant events such as failed login attempts and password changes.
- Set up at least one notification contact with a valid email address to ensure alerts are delivered reliably.
- Regularly review the Event Logs to detect unusual activity early.
- Use the filter function in the event logs to search for specific event types or time periods.
