Contact Visibility
Under Extension and Trunk > Client Permission > Contact Visibility, you define which company contacts are visible to specific extensions or extension groups in the UC Client. This allows you to control access to contact information—for example, to show certain departments only the contacts relevant to them.
Access Contact Visibility
- Log in to the Cloud PBX administration portal.
- Navigate to Extension and Trunk > Client Permission.
- Select the Contact Visibility tab.
Overview
The rule overview displays all configured contact visibility rules:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Extension/Extension Group * | The extension or extension group this rule applies to. |
| Permission Type * | The type of permission: Allow view or disallow view. |
| Objects * | The contact groups are defined as visible or invisible (e.g., all company contacts or specific contact groups). |

Important Notes
- Company contacts: These rules apply to company contacts managed centrally in the PBX—not to personal contacts of individual users.
- Extension groups: You can create rules for both individual extensions and extension groups. A group rule applies to all members of the group.
- Interaction with Extension Group: The "Show Company Contacts Matching Results" option in the Extension Group permissions can override the visibility rules defined here.
