Release date: September 15, 2026
Release version: V25.2-GA
Previous version: Version 84.24.0.30 (V25.1-GA)
Overview
Version 84.24.0.73 introduces a refreshed interface for the Virtual-Call UC Mobile Client, enhanced messaging features for external chat channels (quote replies, read receipts, emoji reactions), more flexible call routing for ring groups and queues, and the new Last Agent Routing feature. This release also includes several improvements and bug fixes.
New Features
Improved UC Mobile Client Interface
- The bottom navigation menu can now be customized – users can choose and reorder the functions they need.
- The login screen now saves the last three used serial numbers/domains for quick access and offers a show/hide toggle for passwords.
- Contact information in the directory (name, number, email, job title, department, etc.) can be copied via long-press.
- When creating a new SMS session, the recipient number can now be selected directly from Contacts (personal and company contacts).
- Phone numbers in Call Log can also be copied via long-press.
Enhanced Message Interaction in External Chats
- Quote Reply: Messages (text, files, images, emojis, links) can now be replied to directly with a quote. Available for the Facebook, WhatsApp, and Live Chat channels.
- Read Receipts: A status icon indicates whether a sent message has been delivered or read. Available for the Facebook, WhatsApp, and Live Chat channels. This feature is disabled by default and must be enabled (Path: PBX Settings > Preferences > Read Receipt). For the UC Mobile Client, the following minimum app versions are required: iOS 5.29.14 or later, Android 5.29.12 or later.
- Emoji Reactions: Messages can be acknowledged with an emoji reaction without sending a separate reply. Available for the WhatsApp and Live Chat channels.
More Flexible Call Routing for Ring Groups and Queues
Apply "Always" Call Forwarding in Ring Groups and Queues
If a ring group member or queue agent has "Always" call forwarding set to an extension, mobile number, or external number, an incoming call is now forwarded directly to that destination without ringing the extension first. Other members continue to ring according to the configured ring strategy.
External Numbers as Ring Group Members
Ring groups can now include external numbers as members, allowing incoming calls to be routed directly to external destinations.
Call Confirmation
For external numbers added as ring group members, call confirmation can be required: the recipient must press key 1 to accept the call before it is treated as connected. This prevents calls from being inadvertently routed to voicemail or other automated systems.
Last Agent Routing
When a customer calls back after a disconnected queue call or to follow up on a previous inquiry, the queue can now prioritize routing the call to the agent who most recently assisted them. This reduces repeated explanations and provides more consistent customer service. Can be enabled per queue with a configurable time window.
Other Improvements
- Richer Contact Context: Matched contact details are now also displayed on the calling screen; Call Log and Call Detail Records (CDR) also display the associated company name.
- Multiple Extension Assignment in Auto Provisioning: Auto Provisioning now supports assigning multiple extensions to specific SIP lines for more precise line-to-extension mapping.
Bug Fixes
- WhatsApp Message Channel: Fixed an issue where contact names failed to appear in the chat list and session window after an upgrade, when extension users sent messages via the WhatsApp channel.
- Extensions: Fixed an issue where the "Open Contact URL Using Custom Popup URL" setting became disabled after an upgrade, with previously configured values lost.
- Trunk: For a register trunk configured with an ITSP domain and the "Use Registered Target IP for SIP Requests" option disabled, the SIP INVITE message incorrectly contained an IP address instead of the domain name.
- Auto Provisioning: After reprovisioning IP phones via custom advanced templates, SIP registration failed. This has been fixed.
Best Practices
- Only enable read receipts if your team is running the corresponding Mobile Client versions (iOS 5.29.14+ / Android 5.29.12+), as older app versions may not display the status correctly.
- When using external numbers as ring group members, consider whether call confirmation is appropriate to prevent calls from being inadvertently accepted by voicemail systems.
- After the update, review existing WhatsApp chat histories if contact names were not displayed correctly before.
