Overview
Your Virtual-Call Cloud PBX offers two related features for team communication: Call Pickup and Paging/Intercom.
- Call Pickup: Allows you to answer a call ringing on another extension by dialing a feature code on your own phone.
- Paging: One-way announcement to a group of extensions — recipients cannot respond.
- Intercom: Two-way communication between extensions — both sides can speak.
Prerequisites
- Administrator access to the Virtual-Call Cloud PBX
- At least two configured extensions
Part 1: Call Pickup
Call Pickup is controlled exclusively via feature codes. There is no separate configuration menu — the feature is active by default.
Feature Codes for Pickup
| Feature Code | Function | Description |
|---|---|---|
| *4 | Group Call Pickup | Picks up a ringing call within your own ring group. Dial *4 to answer a call from any extension in your group. |
| *04 | Extension Pickup | Picks up a ringing call on a specific extension. Dial *04 followed by the extension number (e.g., *041001). |
Tip: Feature codes can be customized or disabled by the administrator under Call Features → Feature Code → Call Pickup.
