Overview
The Speed Dial feature of your Virtual-Call Cloud PBX allows you to store frequently dialed numbers under short speed dial numbers. Instead of entering the full phone number, users simply dial the speed dial prefix followed by the speed dial number—the PBX automatically connects to the stored number.
Speed dial entries are available system-wide and can be used by all extensions. They are ideal for frequently contacted external numbers such as suppliers, partners, or branch offices.

Speed Dial Overview
Speed dial management is found under Call Features → Speed Dial. The overview page shows all configured speed dial entries in a table with the columns Speed Dial Number, Phone Number, and Operations.
The following actions are available in the toolbar:
- Add — Create a single speed dial entry
- Import — Import multiple entries via CSV file
- Export — Export existing entries as a CSV file
- Prefix — Configure the speed dial prefix
- Delete — Remove selected entries
Adding a Speed Dial Entry
- Click Add.
- Enter a speed dial number (e.g.,
100). - Enter the corresponding phone number (e.g.,
+4930123456). - Click Save.
Configuring the Speed Dial Prefix
The speed dial prefix determines how users trigger a speed dial from their phone. By default, the prefix *89 is configured.
- Click Prefix.
- Adjust the Speed Dial Prefix if needed (default:
*89). - Click Save.
Example: To dial a speed dial number 100, the user enters *89100 on their phone.
Importing Speed Dial Entries
To set up many speed dial entries at once, you can import a CSV file.
- Click Import.
- Select a UTF-8 encoded CSV file.
- Click Import.
Feature Code
The speed dial feature code is configured under Call Features → Feature Code in the Speed Dial section.

Typical Scenarios
Scenario 1: Frequently dialed external numbers
- Create speed dial numbers for regularly contacted suppliers, partners, or branch offices.
- Users dial, e.g.,
*89101instead of the full number.
Scenario 2: Bulk setup via CSV
- Create a CSV file with all speed dial entries (e.g., from an existing phone directory).
- Import the file to create all entries at once.
Best Practices
- Use a logical numbering scheme for speed dial numbers (e.g., 100–199 for suppliers, 200–299 for partners).
- Document the speed dial assignments internally so all users know which number corresponds to which contact.
- Use the Export function regularly as a backup of your speed dial list.
- Always use UTF-8 encoded CSV files when importing to avoid issues with special characters.
