Overview
Auto Provisioning enables automatic configuration of IP phones through the Virtual-Call Cloud PBX. Configuration is managed centrally in the portal and distributed automatically to the phones.
Prerequisites
- Administrator access to the Virtual-Call portal
- Supported IP phone (e.g., Yealink, Fanvil, Snom, Grandstream)
- Phone reachable on the same network or connected via Onsite Proxy
Adding a Phone
Single Phone
- Navigate to Auto Provisioning > Phones.
Click Add.
- Select Manufacturer and Model.
- Enter the MAC address (found on the bottom of the device).
Assign an Extension.
Under Options you can see the template and provisioning link.
- Click Save.
Multiple Phones at Once
Click the arrow next to Add and select Add Multiple.
Enter MAC addresses and assign extensions.
- Click Save.
Phone Overview
All phones appear under Auto Provisioning > Phones:
Here you can see status, extension, manufacturer, model, IP address, and firmware version.
Provisioning Methods
Manual provisioning: The link is entered in the phone web interface.
DHCP-based: The DHCP server delivers the link automatically (Option 66). For larger deployments.
RPS: The phone contacts the manufacturer RPS server, which redirects it to the Cloud PBX.
Troubleshooting
- Phone not provisioned: Check MAC address and network access.
- Status "Offline": Is the phone powered on and reachable?
- Wrong model: Verify model on the device label.
