Phone
The Phone tab is used to associate a physical IP phone with an extension. Once assigned, the phone is automatically provisioned—it receives its configuration (registration data, function keys, settings) automatically from the PBX.
Access the Phone Tab
- Log in to the Cloud PBX administration portal.
- Navigate to Extension and Trunk > Extension.
- Click the edit icon next to the desired extension.
- Select the Phone tab.
Associate a Phone
If no phone is currently assigned to the extension, a placeholder view is displayed:
Click Select a Phone to choose an available IP phone from the device list and assign it to this extension. After assignment, the phone is automatically provisioned.
Once a phone is assigned, this tab displays the phone's configuration details, including model, MAC address, and provisioning status.
Important Notes
- Automatic provisioning: After assignment, the phone receives its configuration automatically from the Cloud PBX. Manual SIP registration setup on the phone is not required.
- Supported phones: Only phones that have been previously added to the system under Extension and Trunk > Phone can be assigned.
- Adding a phone: Before you can assign a phone here, it must first be added to the system under Extension and Trunk > Phone. Once added, it will appear in the selection list on this tab.
